About Sourdough Diary
Sourdough Diary is an app for iPhone and iPad that guides you through sourdough baking. It is made by one person: Simon Eder, in Austria.
I started baking sourdough in January 2026 and failed, a lot, with nobody to ask. When a colleague started baking too and had the same million questions, I said I would quickly program an app to guide her through it. It was not quick.
The app is the guidance I didn't have: when the starter is ready, what to do next and for how long, and what went wrong with the last loaf. It is free, and your diary stays on your devices and in your own iCloud.
